Talk Visual and Sprint Corporation Agree to Integrate Over 400 Sprint Video Teleconferencing Sites in Major Global Network Expansion
MIAMI, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2000-- (OTC-BB: TVCP). TALK VISUAL CORPORATION Chairman Michael J. Zwebner announced today that Talk Visual Corporation has reached agreement with the Sprint Corporation, and has begun the process of integrating its existing forty-five domestic and international videoconferencing sites with the Sprint video teleconferencing network.
The company plans to complete the certification and integration process within the next few weeks. The Sprint video teleconferencing network consists of over four hundred locations in most countries of the world.
158 KINKO'S U.S. LOCATIONS INCLUDED IN INTEGRATION PROGRAM
Domestic Sprint locations include 158 Kinko's sites in most states of the United States. All of these locations will now be accessible to Talk Visual's growing global network which today spans Europe, the Middle East, Asia, N. Africa, Asia and Central & South America. The addition of Talk Visual's forty-five independent videoconferencing sites will increase Sprint's network locations by about ten percent. For all the Talk Visual International Videocall Internet Centers, this integration with the Sprint Network will allow a much greater selection of termination points in the United States.
"We couldn't be more excited," said Mr. Zwebner. "Every day, we see our dream of worldwide videocalls - just like faxes and cellular telephones - becoming an everyday reality. Now with the addition of some 400 Sprint worldwide network locations to our global directory, our customers have, in one corporate stroke of the pen, a greater selection of videocalling locations from and to which they can connect calls. I see this as a major endorsement of our corporate mission." Mr Zwebner continued, " On the corporate market level, within the next few years, I truly expect to see our videophones on the desk of every company executive, and our Talk Visual Network to be the premier ISDN/IP videocalling provisioning system in the world."
The new TV225 videophone is an innovative desktop device which uses 128K ISDN circuits to connect videocalls all over the world. Custom-manufactured for Talk Visual Corporation, it functions as a high-quality desktop telephone which requires only a minor circuit upgrade from the Local Exchange Carrier to enable full digital (ISDN) transmission. The 5" diagonal videophone image can be simultaneously shown on any large-screen television for multiple participant business and family conferences.
A list of Talk Visual's videocalling shops is at www.talkvisual.com. The site allows visitors to order the 4th edition of the company's impressive full-color newspaper. Talk Visual sells pagers at www.beeperforabuck.com, and will soon launch prepaid telephone sales from www.prepaidtelephones.com. Information on the new Talk Visual TV225 Video-Telephone can be seen on www.thevideotelephone.com.
Talk Visual Corporation (OTC-BB: TVCP) is a pioneer in the video teleconferencing industry. It is developing global retail facilities to accommodate the growing video-communications needs of two key market segments: businesses and expatriate ethnic populations.
