Donald, the reason for the fcx using a different sizes, 48mm vs brex
's 63mm. this was most likely done to prevent substitution by unauthorized parties, to be able to differentiate them from any brex cores, to make it difficult for anyone to know in advance. your other points will be answered in the affirmative or in the negative soon. i might add one other point that the abx and pdg testing was done on samples provided by brex.
