Its about time some of you are figuring it out. The Wolves have surrounded MSFT (as I predicted over a year ago) and this trading pattern is the beginning of a long phase for MSFT as far as I see it.

The big obvious sign was just last week when MSFT finally released its LONNNG awaited WIN2K to the public and the fanfare and stock price was as dead as if nothing even happened.

The writing has been on the wall for a while - the words are simply becoming easier to read. MSFT has officially entered a new phase of its life. Its fundamental business rules have become out-dated and the leaders of the company are still not willing to or even believe that these business rules have to change.

While MSFT heads were buried in the WIN2K release development disasters and delays, the industry evolved into an new OPEN and non-proprietary environment. Last week MSFT came down from the mountain and said: "Surprise! We have finally arrive - Let the party begin", but when they looked around they noticed that the industry crowd that they remembered when they went up the mountain 3+ years ago had become MUCH thinner and less willing to party on their arrival. In fact they have become down right hostile.

Welcome MSFT to the new era in your corporate life-cycle. Unfortunately for the stock-holders, it will not be a friendly era for them.

My thoughts - and now I will step off my soapbox.

Cheers!
