Jim, RE: "Some people will order it if they can touch and feel it first." The key word is SOME. Mass merchants are not in the business of selling some people. They are in the business of selling everybody they can. A 5% drop in a category is considered a disaster, just selling SOME people is not acceptable, especially when you are measured on same store sales. Max did a great job of turning losing space into profitable space, in a category they have to carry. And they got $50 million to do it. And they dumped the loses on Gateways balance sheet. It's brilliant. John
