Munder Future Technology Fund (MTFAX) Adds AMCC in January Applied Micro Circuits Corp. - Applied Micro Circuits Corporation designs and manufactures integrated circuits. Its products are used in the wide area network markets and address the SONET/SDH and ATM transmission standards. The company also makes products for the fiber optic based portions of local area network markets that address the Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel transmission standards. Products include transceivers, crosspoint switches, Clock Recovery and Synthesis Units, amplifiers and laser drivers, framers and mappers. The company is also providing solutions for the ATV, broadcast HDTV, high speed computing and military markets. Customers include 3Com, Alcatel, Cisco Systems, Marconi Communications, Lucent, Nortel and Raytheon Systems. In 98 the company acquired Ten Mountains Designs & in Mar 99, Cimaron Comm. munderfunds.com
