All I know is that I sold too early in this cycle and am kicking myself at this point. But having said that, I got out with a YTD overall portfolio gain of 29 percent and I figured that when it got to that point that I would feel pretty good at the end of the year if I had done that well. I also sleep much better at night and am actually able to work without checking the stocks every 20 minutes. But I am also sitting on $400K cash and wonder how long to wait and how big a dip to wait for before jumping back in. I bought on the way down in 1995 and was caught in 1997. After the 97 fiasco, I reread Cary's thread and all the signs and warnings were there. In 1995 at the peak the companies in this sector were all acting like drunken sailors in port...spending totally out of control. Hope they all learned some lessons from that cycle.
