Ellison Larry Ellison Announces Decision Not to Pursue Apple Acquisition at This Time Reserves the Right to Reconsider ATHERTON, Calif., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Lawrence J. Ellison announced today that at least for the time being, he has decided not to pursue any transaction involving Apple Computer, Inc. (Nasdaq:AAPL) or to otherwise seek control of that firm. Mr. Ellison stated that he has not purchased any Apple stock and is not currently engaged in any discussions with Apple, or Apple shareholders or potential investors concerning any transaction involving Apple. Mr. Ellison stated that he remains interested in developments at Apple and that he may well purchase stock for investment purposes or otherwise, or revisit in the future his decision regarding an acquisition or control of that firm.
