Personally, I don't think that a friendly takeover is in the works. I think that, again, Monty in carefully executing his plan. The shareholders plan is a means to try to release the hidden value of the BCE shares. I would think that if Monty gets his way and the BCE shares increase on the speculation of a "friendly takeover" we will see another acquisition by BCE using it's increased share value. Just a hunch.
