<EISQ>...Getting Ready to Comply with the NASD Reporting Requirements

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Electronic Identification, Inc. (OTC BB:EISQ), developer of Smart ID Card technology supported by a state-of-the-art Intranet framework, today announced it is in the process of compiling information required by NASD under Rule 6530 to comply with the Reporting and Eligibility rules. The due date for submission for EI2 is March 23, 2000 and the company fully expects to file on or before this due date.

Electronic Identification, Inc. (EISQ) is scheduled to receive an "E" to its stock symbol to denote that the company is on extension. The stock symbol is to be "EISQE" beginning on February 23, 2000 until such time as the company is in compliance with NASD regarding its reporting status.

Terry Kirby, Chairman & CEO, stated "EI2 will do whatever is necessary and required to comply with NASD requirements, with the intention of becoming a fully reporting company in compliance with NASD for continued listing on the OTC Bulletin board. EI2 wants its shareholders and investors to realize that management is conscious of the importance of its OTC listing, and we are taking all appropriate measures and steps towards moving forward and making EI2 a fully reporting company."

"Furthermore, we at EI2 understand that as we focus on complying with NASD's requirements, our stock will contain an `E' on the end of our stock symbol. At this time, management is working diligently to complete the intended submission. As soon as we believe that we have a firm date when the company is deemed to be a reporting company, we intend to notify the public as to our status and when the `E' could be removed from our symbol," said Mr. Kirby.
