Mr. Stein is a 30-year veteran of the cable and telecommunications industry, recognized as one of the top 100 most influential executives in 1998 by CableFax Magazine. He was Co-founder of ENCORE MEDIA CORPORATION, a Liberty Media Group company (NYSE:LMG) that serves in excess of 50 million subscribers with its programming services, which include ENCORE and STARZ. Most recently, he was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of HALLMARK ENTERTAINMENT NETWORKS INC., a HALLMARK CARDS company. Re-named Crown Media Holdings, Inc., the company has filed an S-1 registration and will become a billion dollar cap company upon completion of its underwriting, led by Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities.
