JAKE:

Based on some comment or other you made about CS/Marconi
I got into CS. Thank you.

You haven't delivered Marconi yet! However, you are forgiven, because I don't remember that you gave me a personal guarantee.....

I very much like what I see happening in CS. I feel a management in place that has looked at turning around the company, decided how they are going to do it AND are doing it.

I don't think that the management wants to be taken over, and is using their model of "the CMGI of the Communications business", which I think will produce GREAT shareholder value. One could argue much more value than a takeover!

There is a constant flow of good news. These people know how to promote themselves!

They may also be succesful in creating a worldwide marketing operation that can provide a happy home for some of the products of the IPO spinoffs, to the extent that those companies want to use it. Do they have the capability to build a great marketing and sales operation--or do they have it now?

Then, if they are doing it (are they?), outsource manufacturing as much as possible.

If it's anything like that, that's a very aggressive model.

What do other people see is REALLY happening?

Best wishes,
Jim
