LAFAYETTE, CALIF., Feb 23, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

CyberStateU.com Appoints Former President and CEO of WindRiverSystems to Drive B2B
E-Learning Strategy

CyberStateU.com today announced that it has appointed Ron Abelmann, a successful 35-year
veteran of the high technology industry, as its new president, chief executive officer and
chairman of the board. Founded in 1994, CyberStateU.com is the first company to deliver
technical certification training via the Web.

"This is an exciting time to be part of the e-learning industry as evidenced by the tremendous
growth in this category in recent months. Like most emerging markets, e-learning is highly
fragmented with tremendous opportunity for those
with focus and who execute well.

"CyberStateU.com was an early pioneer of Web-based learning for the technology sector and
has been perfecting an e-learning methodology for six years. With a respected brand, a highly
scalable technology infrastructure, and a base of talented employees, CyberStateU.com is
well poised to become the dominant provider of e-learning solutions to the companies who
drive the Internet," Abelmann said.

Most recently, Abelmann was President and CEO of Wind River Systems, Inc.
(NASDAQ:WIND), the leading provider of real-time operating systems, integrated software
development tools and engineering services for embedded applications.
At Wind River, Abelmann is credited with boosting earnings by an annual average of over
40%. During his five-year tenure, revenue grew from approximately $20M to over $150M
and operating profits grew from breakeven to over 20%.

"Ron Abelmann is a proven leader in the technology industry and was one of the key
architects behind the success of embedded systems market leader: Wind River Systems," said
Paul Wildrick, CyberStateU.com founder, who led the search. "His more than 19 years of
P&L responsibility, strong operational skills, and
relationships with key executives throughout the industry make him the ideal choice to
replicate CyberStateU.com's B2C success in the even faster growing B2B market."

Abelmann also serves as a member of the board of directors of Mobilsys Inc., Syndeo Corp.,
Antrim Design Systems Inc., and Wind River Systems Inc. He holds a master's degree in
applied physics from UCLA and an MBA from Stanford University.
