KELOWNA, B.C. (Dow Jones)--Dia Met Minerals Ltd. (DMMA) said Charles Fipke,
its founder, chairman and largest shareholder, has agreed to transfer almost
all of his shares in Dia Met to his estranged wife Marlene Fipke, as part of a
divorce settlement.
In a news release, the company said Mr. Fipke will transfer about 1.3
million Dia Met Class A subordinate-voting shares and about 5.2 million Dia
Met Class B multiple-voting shares to Mrs. Fipke.
The company said Mrs. Fipke will control 1.3 million Class A shares and 5.5
million Class B shares of the company, which on a fully-diluted basis,
represents about 12.7% of Dia Met's Class A shares, 24.8% of its Class B
shares and 21% of its total shares outstanding.
The company said Mrs. Fipke has indicated that she has no present intention
of disposing of these shares.
Dia Met Minerals is a mineral exploration and development company with a
primary focus on diamonds.
