Well, Catholics and Jews often fear Evangelical Protestants, because of an historic association of some sects, like the Baptists, with anti- Catholic sentiment and/or anti- semitism. A number of mainline Protestants consider Evangelicals to be too aggressive and anti-modern, as in opposing the teaching of evolution. So it depends: if you view Evangelicals as just good folk who are trying to defend themselves and their families against an aggressive secularism, then you are supportive; if you view them as trying to "take over", then you are not......
