FEBRUARY 24, 2000
HANNOVER, GERMANY--
DIVA Server Voice to Offer Complete Support for Convergence of Voice, Remote Access, Fax and Unified Messaging Applications.
CeBIT 2000 (Hall 15, Stand A14) - Addressing the growing corporate market for Voice over IP telephony, Eicon Technology Corporation today announced the first public display of its DIVA Server Voice ISDN cards. DIVA Server Voice solutions are the first, true open communications platform, managing all voice, data, wireless, email and fax messages on a single server, helping to reduce corporate communications costs.
Visitors to Eicon's booth will be able to call others using an IP-based telephone through a DIVA Server Voice 4BRI-powered solution using DIVA Server VoIP Gateway software and Ansid's complementary Calina Gatekeeper software. These two software solutions are designed for optimal performance with each other.
Eicon's DIVA Server Voice 4BRI, DIVA Server Voice T1/PRI (US) and DIVA Server Voice PRI (Europe) address the full-range of communications needs, from the small to medium-sized business, all the way up to the large corporation. These cards use Eicon's DIVA Server VoIP Gateway software to manage all VoIP calls in an ISDN environment, connecting a company's IP telephony calls with the traditional PSTN telephony world.
"The release of our DIVA Server Voice cards has us well positioned to take advantage of the rapidly growing worldwide market for Voice over IP solutions," said Maks Wulkan, Executive Vice President, Eicon Technology. "By addressing all of a company's communications needs with a single product, Eicon is helping to ease the voice and data convergence needs of the enterprise, leading to reduced costs of doing business."
To ensure easy interoperability with compatible solutions, Eicon's DIVA Server Voice cards support open industry standards for voice, such as H.323, G.165 for echo cancellation, G.711 and G.723.1 for voice compression, Real Time Protocol and Jitter Buffering. In addition, DIVA Server Voice cards support multinational ISDN protocols and are compatible with more international ISDN switches than any other solution.
Cahners In-Stat Group predicts worldwide VoIP gateway sales will reach $3.7 billion by the end of 2003.
