No, that won't be necessary. I think I have read enough to understand your position on the matter. I don't aim to offend you (I detected an edge here), but to try and understand your basis for belief in God. Consider your statement below...

I think that believing in God is better because it establishes a basis for believing that human values are reflected in the cosmos, and vindicated in the longer run, rather than the ultimate truth being the Abyss.....

This appears to me a belief in God from expedience. Perhaps it could be paraphrased thusly:

"There is no God, and all is meaningless."

Of course I agree, but to use this to justify God seems fundamentally to believe based on wishful thinking. There is yet no need for God.

I think that [Dubya] will show his mettle, and lay to rest the charge that he was handed the crown.......

Understand. Perhaps.
