You may have missed certain things, or misconstrued others. I do not even know why you say that the remarks I just made are "expedient". Beliefs are founded on reasoning, experience, and inclination. That is not the same as "wishful thinking", and, in any event, I was addressing the respect in which belief in God is better. I was not recommending it as a means of social control, or as a pacifier, but as what one might call a postulate with existential import. Anyway, I have dealt with the subject from a variety of angles on one or the other of the threads, and it is not so much that I was irritated as shocked that you would have characterized me thus.......
