What's so idiosyncratic about it? I myself have often gotten cold symptoms that lasted only a day or two and know others have too. In fact, one other poster here posted that he had tested some Zicam on himself and others and found that some of the subjects were only sick for a day or two even without Zicam. It seems to me that this is an important variable to control for in any valid clinical trial. But of course, we'll never know if that was done without a publication.
