Oh, please, SDR. By your defination, we are ALL guilty of giving advice.

You are focusing on the fact that I used the word "advice" in referring-to my collective opinions.

But the law regarding "investment advisors" is clear - an investment advisor is somebody who gives individualized investment advice for a fee. If the advice is not individualized, though, then the person is not considered an investment advisor, which is why newsletter writers, authors, even seedy touts running websites - and certainly not individual posters on stock boards - do not have to be licensed as investment advisors.

The gist of the law is that if a person pays for investment advice - specific advice to them on how to invest their money - then they should have an expectation that the person they are paying for that advice is qualified. Thus, licensing.

But free or general advice is worth what you pay for it, and the law recognizes that.

So, while I used the word "advice" in my post, that doesn't necessitate licensing.

I do apologize for not remember your previous unfounded attack on me - it was so long ago.

My advice to you is to not worry about me, and focus on the stock. Isn't that what we are here to talk about?
