Robert, To add to Charles' information, here is my scenario. Myrtle Beach to Charleston is 98 miles but the airport is approx four miles south of the city. Arrive at M.B. airport with no checked baggage with (fast) rental car already reserved and be ready to leave the airport by 1130 (40 minutes after expected flight touchdown). 94 miles at an average speed of 70mph (no stopping!) is approx 80 minutes and there you go, arrival in greater Charleston at 1250 with 10 minutes to find the Embassy Suites! Even a 60 mph average gets you there at 1304; how fashionable! Or apply my preferred style of driving as if you were in a giant video game and substitute an 80 where ever you see a 70 and you'll have time for coffee and donuts before the meeting! <g> I chose what I figured was a reasonable time to get on the road from the airport. Hopefully Murphy won't interfere with your travels.
