Stu,
I am not an accountant so I don't understand the "tax recovery" statement either.

"In the fourth quarter of 1999, management determined that, based on the number of purchase commitments received in the fourth quarter of 1999 and the Company's positive trend in its profitability and sales levels in recent quarters, it was more likely than not that Optimal will generate sufficient taxable income to fully realize all of its future income tax assets. As a result, 1999 year-end net
earnings and fourth quarter 1999 net earnings reflect an income tax recovery of $3,531,583."

Common sense is telling me that OPMR will have to start paying tax going forward now that their business is firmly in place. GKM also discussed this in their last report. Maybe they will issue another report with a reiterated buy tomorrow with this new data. But if OPMR does not improve their margin with the takeover of the manufacturing, their margin will further shrink going forward because they will have to start paying income tax. The tax-free ride is over.
