Jon, I don't really know very much about watermarking. e.Digital won't have anything directly to do with it.

From what I read about digital watermarking of songs some time ago. The article said that a 10 bit code would be embedded into every 1 second of a song. I think it was a 10 bit code but it was definitely embedded into each second of the song.

It seems to me that the companies that will do the encoding for the record labels will be embedding the watermark code into the digitized song and then it will be encoded into the particular codec that the song is to be compressed into.

I do remember reading that if someone were to play the watermarked song and record it with a microphone from the speaker, (all analog here), and then take that analog tape and redigitize it. Guess what? The watermark code will still be there. Even if the above process is repeated several times.

I believe it was you who has been saying that hackers or pirates are going to be doing this and that no one will stop them. Not so, because of the watermark they will be able to track the culprits down.

You can argue with me all you want but you won't be arguing with me. I am only telling you what I have read. So if you still think that MP3 or free music will prevail in the coming digital music world and that is keeping you from buying some e.Digital, then you are making a big mistake.

You have only been focusing on e.Dig's music end of the business. You've heard that their real bread and butter will be the VTT/TTV market.

Do you know why e.Dig will become so big in this market? The answer also explains why IBM invited e.Dig to become an inaugural member of the VoiceTIMES.

Do some research into that area for a while and be amazed. I'll give you a hint. All VTT devices have one particular thing in common that e.Digital is an expert in and have more experience than most. Oh and I almost forgot, one of e.Dig's patents covers this. Like I said, it's why IBM came to the digster.
