Timing is an elusive thing. They just announced 1999 earnings and offset the negative message with a lot of prior hype announcements. There is no business reason to use any more PR capital now. However, there is still is a lot of RRSP deposits looking for a home that they may wish to attract to boost the price and market cap before a BCE deal. My bet is a small acquisition. I am betting on Home Ticket Network. HTN has been acting like a company with pending news lately and they just held a special shareholders meeting on Tuesday this week. Bell is already using HTN technology.
