COLORADO SPRINGS, CO., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Accent Software Ltd. (Nasdaq:ACNTF) announced that it has completed a major reorganization and has set forth new direction for the company. In February of this year, the Board of Directors announced the hiring of its new President and CEO, Todd Oseth, a former Sony executive to take the helm of the company and lead the turn- around. ``We have great confidence in Todd's ability to lead Accent and its subsidiary company, AgentSoft, to enhance shareholder value,'' stated Roger Cloutier, Accent's chairman. ``Since joining the company, Oseth has focused on reducing overhead, maintaining the core development team, and re-building the sales and marketing organization to focus on language solutions for software products and Internet automation products.''
Leveraging Language and Internet Automation Technologies
According to Oseth, the company will focus on software products that streamline globalization and localization issues and Internet automation products and services primarily sold to corporations and software developers. ``More than 50% of all software products are shipped to countries that do not have English as their primary language,'' stated Oseth. ``There is a tremendous market opportunity before us to capture both product and service revenue for helping our customers embrace what we are calling our 'single code/multiple language' strategy. Our Global Development Kit is a unique solution that will help corporations and developers globalize their applications allowing multilingual functionality. Moreover, another market opportunity for the Internet/Intranet users automation exists with the use of our AgentSoft's intelligent agent technology. The company also will be offering a service to clients needing customized agent development and solutions,'' added Oseth. |
