Dream Garden

I slip through gossamer membranes
down and down into
the mulched soul space of the garden.
There I find the bulbs and seeds of self.
Dormant. Unattended.
It is high time to water and make fertile and caress
that inviolate core of my being
else I wither into my old woman's skin.
