There's no such thing as smart money, anymore....just some people who have more inside information than others. The internet has an uncanny way of reducing the effect they have, however, while increasing the amount of "inside" information.
JMHO, of course.
I don't think that institutions are always as ahead of the curve as they once were. Traders and online investors are getting more adept at getting in, and more information is getting out.
