I remember the last one as a kid. People were interested in just about any alternative energy source. People put windmills in their backyards. Solar energy was going to be in everybody's homes. Everybody was going to be driving an electric car powered by electricity generated by nuclear power, hydroelectric, or America's greateast resource--coal. I don't recall anything about fuel cells back then but I worked in an Army R&D lab at Ft. Belvoir where they were doing some fuel cell research.
