rudedog, When it comes to the computer industry, I don't trust the courts either. I agreee that what seems fair and what is legal can be (and often is) separate and unequal values. I know a guy I used to work for who flat-out copied a patented sort and inserted it right into his code. He figured no one would find out & even if they did, so what??? He would cross that bridge when he came to it. In the meantime, he had software to sell and customers to take care of. For software, IP protection is a complete and total joke. Because the legal system is so inadequate, everyone in the business has to be a cowboy to survive. Ridiculous! cheers, cherylw
