Summary of systems being sold in San Diego by small computer
stores which build their own computers. Based on advertise-
ments in the weekly ComputorEdge flyer -- a free publication
in San Diego county, weighted by the number of locations of
each company. Small ads advertising a single system are
excluded, also system configurations without pricing.

Trends
------
Athlon penetration and speed grades continue to move up, as can
be easily seen, but for Intel the percentage of stores selling
anything above 600 MHz stayed constant. The world is now upside
down with AMD systems the fastest in 76% of stores, equal in another
9% and Intel only winning in the four stores that don't sell AMD
and one other store.
