If you believe the press, they get more stability, and better support for PnP, USB, etc. Remember Win2k is for NT users, They are not marketing it as an upgrade for Win98 (that will come later).

There is a big difference between upgrading an OS, and replacing the entire desktop (and learning new WP, etc.). How much do you suppose it will cost for a company to replace Windows with Linux? How much loss of productivity as all employees must learn new apps? What CFO would be stupid enough to do such a thing (except those whose egos drive them to hate Mr. Gates).
