unclewest: At the smarthouse demo, would you be kind enough to check on the role wireless has, if any. Bluetooth (incorporated in the Q's handhelds, and those of others) would seem to be a means of controlling many "gadgets" as well as computer peripherals. Sun Micro's Jini should be able to use wireless as well as wire to "connect" appliances. And of course, HDR from the Q ought to be a potential means of wireless control prior to arrival home. Wires seem like an old technology way to go. But then (except for fiberoptics "wires"), I see wireless increasing in importance exponentially over the next 2 to 3 years. Just hope ELON is not tied to wires. Best. Cha2
