RE: unix makes the difficult hard and the hard possible

In 20 years, Unix has failed to gain mass appeal. Why now. Linux is, after all, Unix. The only differentiator is marketing hype and the open source. We should all remember how the market hyped Java. Java is great, but no way could it live up to the hype generated by a bunch of brainless journalists. Nor can Linux.
