Jim,

Most homophobic men are very insecure in their own masculinity. The theory is that they have to lash out at a group who are less masculine than they are in order to feel better about their masculinity. Homosexuals, unfortunately, often become the target. After all, homophobic weaklings can't bash the strong, masculine types, can they?

I suspect our little spider is having a problem with his sexuality.
