I find it hard to believe that things are worse than I thought. How common is the practice of giving 2 year olds those kinds of drugs? I thought 7 or 8 was the youngest age to get them started on that. Good grief.

That reminds me of poor Kurt Cobain. I read how he was put on Ritalin at age 7 and was never able to straighten out his biochemistry after that. He tried various forms of self-medication and ultimately settled on heroin. We all know the rest of the story.

I have a hunch that most of these "hyperactive" kids are under the influence of junk food and too much TV. Changes in diet and maybe some herbal remedies would be the humane solution. Like you say, it's evil to do what they're doing now. I heard the drug Eric Harris was taking blots out the part of your brain that controls conscience. I hope we're not creating too many monsters here.
