Lucent just signed a multi-year agreement to purchase and distribute Telular's fixed wireless products in North America. A quote from LU is...``Competition in the local loop is intensifying, and wireless operators now have a ground floor opportunity to grow their business from their existing mobile network assets. Several Lucent wireless service provider customers currently have trials underway with the technology and are preparing to enter markets across North America.'
Anyone have a guess or information as to how big an opportunity (in $$) this may represent?
I doubt Lucent would enter into a deal if revenue possibilities were not substantial. Any thoughts?
