I could use some help; too.
I don't know how. You said, "A couple of years ago, I started to give a lot of thought to what I wanted to do with the rest of my life and started making some changes." I remember doing that about ten? twelve? fourteen? years ago, before I got sick; or early on there. I remember where I was in the house and stuff; and the doing of it. It was cool.
Much of it turned out to be irrelevant because of circumstance. It's hard to "do" stuff when your mind is shot full of holes. The chemistry part. Like tattered wing canvas, you're not going to get very far. You just won't float. Matter of fact, you can crash and burn, regardless of your will power. But the doing of it needs re-done now. Updated; re-focused. Because it has to be there. I mean, "I" need it. To get hte most out of life, which is something I also need.
But the odd part is I'm not even sure how you do it; go about it. And I was thinking last night, about your idea of writing a manifesto, and that seems like a really good idea.
A structural possibility.
A format to at least get rolling, and maybe there.
Darn good idea, I hadn't thot of. I don't have any clues, actually. Thought of going out to the desert for a while, alone, but it isn't very practical.....
It is funny, becuase here I am trying to figure out those very things again. So is Dash, so is MJ ~ her job has grown far adrift from teaching. But I haven't been able to figure out HOW to figure it out.
It's rather surprising how simple it all seems when you give yourself permission to just start writing your own manifesto... with no rules to stop you from putting down whatever it is that you desire out of life... So odd that we can lose our way when it's so easy to make our own map....
