Ok, my takes on both wireless and fiber based on field experience. I am certainly not an expert and my info may be outdated, but common sense is not:

Part I: Wireless......

Wireless connectivity is for mobility applications. Allowing device to connect from anywhere. A wireless connection on a PBX cost about 5 times as much as a fixed copper connection at a minimum. Users will pay a premium for mobile connectivity but not for fixed location connectivity. There is a market for both and one will not replace the other. Wireless will grow because new connections are required. Fixed location connectivity will grow because new locations are required and from upgraded connectivity to existing locations.

Cost per connection, price/performance, and end user needs dictates what kind of connectivity is required.

Would you pay 5x DSL price to get wireless connectivity to your home? No. And business will think the same.
