Scott, Thread,

This subject is getting way long in the tooth, wouldn't you say? I expect that the next suggestion will be for gildertech.com to employ difficult-to-reproduce facsimile techniques. That'll work, no? And at the same time, faxing the newsletter should put Metcalfe in his place, teaching Bob not to be so promiscuous in his thinking.

I could see it now. Faxing reports to paying subscribers in differentiated tiers, on a premium-based prioritization scheme. This is how brokerage firms release information to the wire services. Why not auction first rights to the newsletter on the 'net, making use of Ebay? That would truly be the digital way of solving this problem. I'm told that "being digital" is all important.

Then again, if faxing doesn't work, then the next step could be hand carrying the newsletter to individuals' homes, by appointment, through the use of a private courier service.

Wouldn't you say that this is quite a bit of fuss over a newsletter that is expressly not a "near-term play" stock picking service?

What price enlightenment...

Frank
