Made the every-other-month-or-so trek inside the Beltway to visit ethnic groceries and stock up on stuff. Today it was galanga, kaffir lime leaves, five-spice powder, tamarind paste, holy basil, mango chutney and green curry sauce at a Thai grocery, then namoura, spanikopita, tyropita, and toasted hazelnuts at a Middle Eastern grocery. In the frozen food section at the Middle Eastern grocery, bags of something called "jews mellow." I didn't ask.
