I'll reply to you Richard as I don't care for a big brawl with anyone here. I too have had very few problems with QCharts since I started using it. I also use an application that takes advantage of QFeed and find that often when QCharts is down, QFeed keeps on humming. Overall I'm very pleased with the product and service, and with the exception of the poor quality Canadian data, I'm a happy camper.

Clearly something is going on this last week -- I'm sure they are motivated to address the issues as quickly as possible.

When data goes away, I just close positions and take the day off. Its pointless for me to get worked up about something I can't alter. Its also pointless for me to spend 7 times as much on another datafeed to eek out a few more percent of uptime.

Lest anyone think I'm cruising through life with blinders on, over the years I've used half a dozen data feeds and communicate with hundreds of traders that have used most of the rest of them in the world. Few are anywhere near 100% reliable, and those that are cost orders of magnitude more and have limitations of their own -- cost, scope of available data, quality and quantity of data, support for third party applications, and reliability being just a few of the issues.

That Quote.com reps actually participate on this thread is quite unique in itself, and is a hugely positive indication of the nature of the people that work there and the company itself.

Hopefully the root causes of the various issues are well understood, and action plans, and resources, are in place to address them.

(and quote.com, still hoping that futures contract volume for the ES and NQ contracts will be available before too long, can't help but continue to plug that request!)

Cheers
Michael
