Thanks for the short position data. I, for one, am very pleased to see the short position increase--I am holding March and April calls in addition to a long term stock position. An option analysis site recently noted that the call volume on CMGI was high--which made me think we might not rally as high as possible since many of the potential buyers are already in the stock (via so many open call positions), so seeing the short position increase is a good thing, as long as there are events coming to bring attention to the stock.

As for why the increase in the short position, my guess is that since the technicals on CMGI recently have not been positive, some people/hedge funds were shorting it. Once CMGI breaks out past current resistance, which now appears to be around 128, it will be fun to watch these short sellers react.

Of course, many of them may have covered when the stock was trading in the low 100's recently--lots of block buying at that time.
