>>I see in the future that business will be served with DSL signalling over the fiber transport just like today with T-1 signalling over fiber transport.
Certainly for home connectivity, DSL over copper transport will remain for some time.<<

absolutely. Fiber to a DLC device for the entire 'hood, that is exactly the model, WSTL had targeted with its SLIC DSLAM. Something like 30m lines are served this way and not gonna be ripped out (rather new copper).

Of note though on your mobility and cast model for wireless. These two parameters continue to converge rapidly. Mostly because the RBOCs are keeping their cash cow. But if the cost of wireless approachs landline, the game changes to favor the mobility issue. I figure that to be what a 30-50% premuim

Except the RBOCs could cut their costs in half overnight, if pushed to it. Should make for an interesting debate come 2005.

Right now though we have to deal with the damn DSL rollout and growth period! Guess I gotta hang onto this old tech a bit more. Maybe I bail if we go up another 10fold. that would be good for "old tech" from here, I suppose.
