Jon, BARRON'S has done it again. The first time was about six years ago, when, in a classic textbook example of bad journalism, they reported that CDMA couldn't possibly work because some engineer at Stanford said it wouldn't. It takes quite a lot of nerve (and bad journalism combined) to write an article on the future of wireless phones for data communications without even mentioning QUALCOMM! Did the other companies that were mentioned persuade the BARRON'S writer to put this spin on the subject. Did the writer know that nearly every piece of equipment using CDMA will result in a royalty to QUALCOMM? If he didn't know, what was he doing writing the article in the first place?

QUALCOMM investors should rejoice over this article, for it provides one more buying opportunity at a bargain price. Watch for the reaction tomorrow.
