I suppose we'll get used to it after a while and it won't feel so alien.
TO me the bookmarked list and thread posts are still very "busy" looking
and confusing.
Yes, the bookmarked list and threads look quite cluttered to me... but as you say, we shall probably get used to it after awhile.
As for my browser problem, it's still happening... I can look at SI using Netscape, but as soon as I click my cursor on the "reply" box, my screen implodes and I have to reboot. I've had this happen on one other website and I assume it's something in the server software that has a hostile reaction to Macs running certain versions of Netscape.
I was just thinking about the New Format SI while washing the dishes this morning... Yes, I know... why would I think about SI? Well, in fact, it was all quite relevant. For you see, I was using some of my "new formula Ivory dish detergent" and thinking of how I won't be buying that again. I've used Ivory detergent for years... I guess because my mom always did. However, this latest bottle was "clear" instead of white, and it has a rather repulsive odor that reminds me vaguely of mouse pee... quite acrid and unpleasant. And the "clear" detergent disappears into the wash water so that I have no real idea of how much I have just squirted into the sink because it's invisible... undoubtedly this was the intended reason for the change...so that purchasers will waste extra detergent because they can't see it.
Ah well... change... I'm a crocodile... which isn't really too far removed from being a dinosaur...and look how far they got... ;-}>
But now to change the subject to something more interesting...
I have been having absolutely WILD dreams for the past few nights. Last night was very creepy... In my dream, I was looking after a foster child and some angry man showed up with a gun and tried to shoot the child, so I reached into my dresser drawer and pulled out a handgun and blew him away... He didn't die right away and kept trying to shoot at the child and I, so I shot him a couple of more times. Nasty, eh? I think the worst thing about the dream was that there was blood spattered all over the walls and I stood there thinking:
"Well this is the sh*ts!!.. Who is going to clean up this mess??!! Why should I have to do this?!! Damned good thing I didn't paint the house a couple of weeks ago when I was thinking of it!! There should be some government department that has to clean up this kind of mess... after all, it's not MY FAULT that some nut is running around trying to shoot at people. This is DEFINITELY someone else's problem!!
