Paul and Jim, I had similar experiences... one time, I was telling some friends over dinner about CMGI and it's great prospects and that if any of them buys 100 shares and does not at least double his/her money in one year, I would double it for him/her (CMGI was @ 120 before the latest big rally and split)... one of the people asked me, what's in it for me... I told him, well, I own some shares, and just wanted to share what I think is a good stock tip... of all the people I told this to at all the different times, only 3 bought shares... a friend's daughter in college (she bought 25 shares in the 80s way before the rally and split), a friend who bought 100 shares to try out (also way before the big rally and split) with an effective price in the 70s as he had sold a PUT as well... and he told me that he will be buying more in his IRA, and a lady (from the above dinner experience) who bought 200 shares in her IRA @ 118 (recently) hoping to realize the growth I was excited explaining and a chance on ALTA's IPO... some people just do not get it, what can you do... best regards amein
