Maybe a fab can be built here in the states in that time frame, but without knowing who did the building; it would be difficult to say what the expected time span in East. ger. would be ....

hmly, this is bull that EP thinks Intel can build a fab in a year....just in the past 2 weeks, he was questioning with PE whether Intel can open the new fab in Colo. in a year where they are not starting from the ground up but from an already built empty shell.

Based on my development experience with other commercial bldgs., I am sure building a fab from scratch takes at least two years if not more.
