Ted Re...<<<<hmly, this is bull that EP thinks Intel can build a fab in a year....just in the past 2 weeks, he was questioning with PE whether Intel can open the new fab in Colo. in a year where they are not starting from the ground up but from an already built empty shell.

Based on my development experience with other commercial bldgs., I am sure building a fab from scratch takes at least two years if not more.

Ted' of course its bull. Thats why I commented on Elmers statement. What is that phrase " I have not come to praise Ceasar; I have come to destroy Ceasar."

On another note, I have no doubt that if enough money was thrown at the problem, a fab could be built (not counting time for permits and outfitting.) in a year. But why? There was downturn going on in the semi industry. Elmer knows this. He is just trying to be cleaver with his fudd. I was just enthralled by his objectivity and unbiased opinions. Surely you can't say that you aren't amazed sometimes by his logic. I'm still scratching my head wondering why a unused Dresden is hurting Intel, and how Jerry could have possibly figured that one out. Do you know? This is so far above me, I haven't been able to figure it out yet.
