I don't think 50 roudtrips/day is average for daytrader. Although I know some individuals who make as many and even more, they are rather exception, not rule.
In fairly active months, like November - December I was doing as many as 25 roundtrips average, with some days reaching over 40. In February my activity decreased to 15 and lower - and I am one of the relatively active traders in the chatrooms I monitor.
