KP, thanks for the response.

First of all, what I said was not at all wrong. The short interest figures you were quoting were indeed five weeks out of date.

There was no disagreement about how outdated the short interest figures are once we all get to see them. You made light of the fact that I was suggesting the short interest was still very high. Actually I was wrong for anticipating a very slight drop, not expecting the short interest to increase to over 10 million. But your misplaced ridicule just goes to highlight the fact you were more wrong...

Secondly, I have no clue who fisherking is, and I probably wouldn't care if I did. I don't know why he'd be excited over a high short interest if he were short himself, anyway.

OK, I apologize for the incorrect association, maybe not all shorts of a feather stick together. ;-) Actually this guy is trying to use the large short interest to scare longs. Just another example underscoring the notion that many short-sellers are not counted amongst the most bright and well-mannered "investors".

Evidently Lehman put the screws to you guys a little harder than I thought. I kinda hoped for a nice low number that might shock you back into reality but apparently that wasn't in the cards.

Actually Lehman did what they could to contain the stock, but considering the volume didn't tail off in February they did not have enough ammo to drive it down and hold it.

Pretend Anthony didn't send a one-line message containing at least four typos to his subscribers on 1/31/00, with SNRS hovering at $7.50 a share, announcing that he was covering his short position in SNRS...

There is no post, at least on SI, with instructions to the minions to cover. The folks on SI, who fought so valiantly to get the "Master" reinstated are not privy to the "plan" in real time? Actually a question comes to mind, does the Master cover before, in concert with, or after the minions? ;-) With all the short covering taking place on January 31st it's curious how that is the day SNRS closed down at 7-1/8.

Since then I've had far and away the best trading month I've ever had, thanks in no small part to Anthony and company, while in the meantime you have been sitting on your rather stagnant SNRS shares and waiting for... Godot?

You're having a good month, too? (I'm up almost 100% here in Y2K so far.) I just started buying SNRS again over the past 7 trading days, and my "stagnant" position is up about 10% already. 8-)

In summary, I find it interesting that one of the (allegedly) largest organized short positions in SNRS has allegedly covered after ODP, while at the same time the short interest increased about another 10% since then.

With all due respect,
Gary
