Oh for heaven's sakes get a Sheltie and treat it with unlimited affection and rewards (no punishment whatever) and you will enter an entirely new world. Or a poodle and teach it tricks. Afghan hound and a doberman! Might as well have had an ostrich and found relief in getting acquainted with a moray eel. Or a hairdresser and a hockey player. Border collies are right smack in the middle of the entire spectrum.
